It was quite embarrassing for my sponsors, who thought something really bad was happening to me. Actually, I wept with such convulsions out of the sheer joy of finally having found my way home after so many years in the desert! That enrollment was the first of the surest steps I ever took in my life. Later, when I was received into full communion, it was completely free of emotion. By then, I had confessed and prepared myself, so there was no problem with "merging traffic," if you get the metaphor. Barbara, rejoice in the Lord, Who doeth all things well!
