Final Budget Week
October 20, 2003
Barbara
Well, it has been some time since I posted last. But, I do not hold the record for time between posts–I think that honor belongs to Jennifer.
It is the Final Budget Week. The budgets go to the Finance Committee on Thursday evening. I don’t know how long it will take, but I will be late for our Thursday night group.
I am working on rate increase letters this week. Some of our facilities have to be notified 60 days in advance when a rate change takes place. Since we increase our rates on January 1, the letters have to be in the residents’ hands by November 1. Doing letters before the budget is approved is weird. This is one of those projects that you only do once a year. So, I have to learn all over again what I did last year. (Good thing for SCPH that God gave me a short learning curve.)
So, while I work on files for Executive Directors to review, I thought I’d post. Nothing earth-shattering is going on. My daughter turned 13! Wow, do I feel old! Well, not really, I feel like a 20 year old. But of course, I can’t be 20 if my daughter is 13. She’s a great kid too. So is Caleb for that matter. Thanks to everyone who sent Birthday greetings. She loved it!
We had great food and discussion last night. I don’t know how we’re going to top that!

It was good being with everyone on Sunday night. Food was great, worship was wonderful and being with everyone was awesome.

Hello MOM, How old do you feel with an almost thirty-seven year old? Maybe we ought to rethink what I should call you when you adopt our family.
I enjoyed being with everyone on Sunday night too! Tell Mark that I enjoyed worshipping with him and Jason leading in songs. Hope your budget meeting goes well. Love ya, Debbie

You are as young as you feel. Some days that is 20, others it’s 45.
Love you guys. I feel so blessed to be in community with you. I loved worship too. Maybe we can talk Mark into doing that more often, if not regularly.
