Well, it’s been some time since I posted last. It is July 1st and summer is here with its 90 plus degree temperatures. In my advancing age, I had hoped that the June gloom that I hated as a teenager would stick around a bit longer. But, I guess there’s a few sure things in this world, and one is that July in Southern California is hot.

I saw a shout back from Debbie in my last post urging me to post again. I know that it’s important to keep in touch with everyone and let them know what’s going on with my walk. The thing is, I’ve been enjoying life so much, that I just haven’t thought about posting. I’ve been spending time with my kids and Mark and just relaxing and healing and recovering from last year and the first part of this year. And I FEEL GOOD! There, I said it!

Mark and I went on a short vacation with the kids. They had a blast. We went one day to a water park with all the slides and pools. Mark and I sat all day under a canopy. We spoke little and Mark even mentioned how amazed he was that we could sit for that long and not talk. I was so comfortable and at ease that day. I heard about “comfortable silences” before, but I’ve never experienced it. Well, now I have. (Although since Mark mentioned it, maybe he wasn’t quite as comfortable with it as me .)

So, now I head into my busy time at the office (my full-time job). It’s once again budget season. Thank you Lord for the rest you’ve given me and help me to love all the personalities I will soon be interacting with as we go into this new budget time. Help me not to be defensive (all problems are accounting’s fault) and help me to show your love to all that my circle bump into. Help me to live in Your Kingdom, where none of the “stuff” matters.
