It’s 8:15 and I’ve been

May 13, 2003 Barbara

It’s 8:15 and I’ve been at my office for over an hour and produced nothing. Email is down (yet again) and I know I have tons of mail sitting there waiting for me to answer with all my accounting knowledge!

I drove Mark’s car since mine is in desperate need of an oil change and my sweet, dear husband is going to take it to Jiffy Lube for me. Since the battery failure on Sunday, the radio doesn’t work–some sort of theft deterrant–so it was a quiet drive to work. I was thinking about my job and the jobs I’ve had over the past few years. I found something strange for me–I am content! I actually found myself thinking–I love my job and SCPH and praising God for it. Anyone that knows me well will be totally baffled by that.

I was also reflecting on last night and meeting with Deb, Jason, Jen and David (and Mark and assorted children). I feel so blessed to count them as family. I believe I can tell them anything I am going through and not only will I still be accepted, but that they will pray for me and stand with me as I go through this daily walk with Jesus. I am most blessed of all men and women!

Lord, thank you for all the many blessings you’ve given me, especially these people that you have placed in my life. “May it be, oh Lord, That I seek not so much to be consoled as to console, To be understood as to understand, To be loved as to love.” St. Francis of Assisi.
