“It is easy to think

“It is easy to think that the Church has a lot of different objects – education, building, missions, holding services…The church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose.” – C.S. Lewis

That is such a great quote. I know that I will never be able to phrase anything so eloquently! To me, that phrase epitomizes what this community is being developed for–to make people little Christs. No, we don’t become gods, but through death to ourselves and our human nature, we become Christ-like and able to walk as Christ walked through life. That walk is not just for Wednesday night and Sunday morning. That walk is life, day in and day out. My hope is that the divide between my “Christian life” and my secular life ends–and all I am left with is the life of Christ–day in and day out.
